With so many people stuck at home over the past year, gaming has never been more important. Whether as a way to pass the time in lockdown or connect with friends while socially distancing, record numbers are finding solace in virtual worlds — and discovering that their aging gear cannot keep up with the latest titles.
X trade show, organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), is devoted to highlighting and bringing to the fore the technology industry’s best and most innovative products each year, and 2021 is no different. Due to the global pandemic, the show is being held digitally through the #COMPUTEXVirtual platform.
Every year, COMPUTEX showcases the latest innovations from not only the biggest names in tech, but also small teams just getting their start. InnoVEX, the trade show’s exhibit dedicated to startups, has since 2016 been the leading space for creators from around the globe to meet investors, markets and partners, and to get noticed.
A total of 50 flagship products across nine categories were honored at the 13th COMPUTEX d&i awards this year, highlighting the best in recent technological trends and post-pandemic opportunities.
Gathered today at the COMPUTEX Forum, guest speakers representing leading figures of the industry talked about the development of critical technologies that would serve to bolster innovations throughout the industry.
“We’re rapidly moving towards a world more connected and intelligent. It is being driven by the convergence of connectivity and computing technologies from mobile,” said Qualcomm Technologies Senior Vice President and General Manager of Mobile, Compute and Infrastructure Alex Katouzian. “It’s already starting to transform the way we work, live, play, and connect with others.”
To global buyers, the startup exhibitions supported by Garage+, Asia’s largest zero-equity incubator, have been regarded “must-see” since 2015. This year, Garage+ features 46 thriving startups at COMPUTEX 2021. The pavilion includes 24 international startups selected out of the 153 Startup Global Program applications from 26 countries.
The esports market has set off an upsurge in the world, driving a vigorous development of esports products. ARES SERIES is the first RGB overclocking memory launched by Dato, with the Greek mythical God of War, ARES, as the brand image. It symbolizes speed, power and efficiency.
Although the two-day COMPUTEX Forum concluded today, its last session beckoned toward the future, as NVIDIA and IBM shared technologies at the razer edge of what’s possible, already available today.
