The InnoVEX, innovation and startup section of COMPUTEX 2024, is gearing up to host its most dynamic show from June 4 to June 7 on the 4th floor of Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2. This year, over 400 startups representing more than 30 countries will participate, covering four major themes: artificial intelligence, green technology, smart mobility, and semiconductor applications. This exhibit is set to provide startups and potential partners with in-depth exchanges of innovation that promise to shape the future of the technology industry.
Focusing on Green Technology: InnoVEX Commits to Sustainable Energy Development
As a globally significant startup matchmaking platform, InnoVEX this year emphasizes green technology, showcasing innovative products in green energy and environmental protection technologies. From renewable energy systems to smart energy-saving devices and environmental monitoring solutions, the showcase will highlight groundbreaking products aimed at helping businesses and society achieve more sustainable development. Additionally, the SME Pavilion of the Ministry of Economic Affairs will focus on themes such as green technology and AI, inviting top domestic and international startups to exhibit their cutting-edge green technologies and innovative solutions, injecting a fresh wave of vitality and sustainable energy into the green economy.
Collaboration between International Pavilions and Government Pavilions Create Innovation Momentum
This year’s international pavilions are impressive, featuring startup teams led by Belgium’s Flanders Pavilion, Brazil Pavilion, France Pavilion, Australia’s New South Wales Pavilion, Japan Pavilion, Indonesia Pavilion, and India Pavilion. These pavilions aim to utilize mature technologies with in-depth exchanges for the international startup industry. The organizer, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), stated that this year’s international pavilions emphasize market applications and environmental sustainability. They are set to impress as the Belgium pavilion features QustomDot’s solvent-free quantum dot inkjet technology, which is low in toxicity and uses additive manufacturing processes, contributing to a more environmentally friendly display industry. The French pavilion, comprising nine startups, offers solutions related to renewable energy, such as converting solar energy into electricity, aligning with current demands for environmental protection and sustainable development.
In addition to the national pavilions, major accelerators such as Garage+, StarFab, Taipei Exchange, National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, and the National Taiwan University System’s Research and Industry Platform will also be exhibited. StarFab actively assists startups in creating business opportunities, bringing unlimited potential for startups in AIoT, 5G, XR, Cybersecurity, and other fields. The Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) enhances the global influence and competitiveness of Taiwanese startups through international competitions and world-class accelerators. Furthermore, the SME Pavilion of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, focusing on green technology, provides a crucial platform for the development of the green economy, sure to resonate with more startups.

Diverse Activities at InnoVEX: FromPitch Competitions to Thematic Forums
During the InnoVEX exhibition, a variety of activities are designed to immerse visitors in the latest industry trends and foster meaningful interaction with industry experts. These activities include the opening ceremony, thematic forums, pitch competitions, and startup presentations. The pitch competition, a highlight of InnoVEX, annually invites representatives from internationally renowned investment firms to serve as judges. The competition categories focus on six areas: artificial intelligence, green technology, medical and biotechnology, precision manufacturing, semiconductor applications, and smart mobility. This not only provides startups with an excellent opportunity to showcase their skills and establish relationships with world-renowned companies but also offers prizes totaling over $100,000 for the participants to compete for.
In addition to the pitch competition, the Demo Day organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will commence on June 4. This event will not only showcase new technologies in industrial applications but also promote interactions and exchanges with local startups, expanding opportunities for investment and development.
The InnoVex forums will provide attendees with a deeper dive into industry trends. Experts from major tech companies such as AWS, Intel, Nvidia, and MediaTek will serve as speakers. The forums will focus on themes ranging from semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and smart mobility to green technology, assisting startups to connect with potential partners, and fostering dialogue and international collaboration.
