Thermaltake, a leading PC DIY brand for premium hardware solutions, is redefining one of the most traditional components in the PC building process with the upcoming Dockpower Series. While GPUs, cooling systems, and chassis designs have continued to evolve over the years, PSU installation has remained largely unchanged — until now. Designed around speed, flexibility, and ease of use, Dockpower introduces a new docking-based architecture that streamlines both installation and future upgrades.

Available in 750W, 850W, 1000W, and 1200W configurations, the Dockpower lineup includes three variants — Dockpower FS, Dockpower FC, and Dockpower FI — offering users flexible options tailored to different system needs. More than just another PSU release, Dockpower presents a new approach to how power supplies are installed and upgraded.

At the center of the design is a detachable dock module that separates cable routing from the PSU itself. Instead of installing the power supply first and managing cables inside the chassis afterward, users can pre-route and organize cables directly on the dock before sliding the main unit into place. This significantly reduces installation time while creating a cleaner and more efficient building process.

Dockpower also simplifies future upgrades. Traditional PSU replacements often require users to disconnect and reroute every cable in the system. With Dockpower, the dock remains installed while the main unit can be swapped independently, allowing users to upgrade power capacity without rebuilding their cable layout from scratch.

To support this architecture, Thermaltake integrates a server-grade 30μ gold-plated contact interface engineered for stable and efficient power delivery. The premium connection improves conductivity, enhances durability for repeated docking cycles, and offers greater resistance to heat and wear over time. It is a level of engineering commonly associated with enterprise hardware, now adapted for enthusiast PC systems.

Beyond convenience, Dockpower delivers a more user-friendly building experience overall. Simplified cable management, reduced installation complexity, and a more organized internal layout make it appealing for both first-time builders and experienced enthusiasts.

With the Dockpower Series, Thermaltake is introducing more than a new PSU lineup, it is presenting a new direction for PC building. By combining modular flexibility with an innovative docking-based installation system, Dockpower challenges long-standing conventions and offers a faster, cleaner, and more adaptable approach to modern power supply design.
