The world is changing rapidly—overturning traditional frameworks, redefining problems, and exploring the world from entirely new perspectives has become the norm. Entrepreneurs, as the catalysts of the Century of Mavericks, have embraced innovation and change, driven continuous progress in society, and contributed to building a better world. In this year’s showcase, Garage+ spotlighted 36 top startups from the Startup Global Program, featuring groundbreaking applications in AI computing, semiconductors and supply chain solutions, sustainability (ESG), and smart healthcare.
Now marking its 10th year, the Startup Global Program—supported by the National Development Council and executed by Epoch Foundation’s Garage+—has continued to position Taiwan as a key global innovation hub. Since its launch in 2015, the program has attracted over 3,300 tech startups from 90 countries. Among them, 316 high-potential teams were invited to Taiwan for in-person participation. Through curated matchmaking sessions, industry exchanges, and exhibitions, the program has enabled numerous business collaborations and entrepreneur visa applications. Notably, one-third of these teams have formed significant partnerships with Taiwanese companies.
For the Spring 2025 cohort, 36 startups were selected from 239 applicants across 35 countries. These teams arrived in Taiwan and have been participating in matchmaking events and exhibiting their innovations at COMPUTEX / InnoVEX. Representing countries such as Canada, Japan, the U.S., Sweden, the U.K., South Korea, Israel, the Netherlands, and Hong Kong, the selected startups are leading the way in AI and data, ESG, biotech, semiconductors, and smart manufacturing.
Throughout the exhibition, Garage+ has been facilitating over 160 one-on-one matchmaking sessions with more than 50 leading Taiwanese enterprises—including TSMC, MediaTek, Wistron, Delta Electronics, Pegatron, Cathay Financial Holdings, and Fubon Financial Holdings—laying a strong foundation for a thriving startup ecosystem.
In the Century of Mavericks, visitors to the exhibition are witnessing firsthand how global innovation intersects with Taiwan’s industrial strengths to spark new possibilities.
