This year there are nearly 1,400 technology companies participating in the annual exhibition, representing 34 countries including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czechia, France, Germany and the US. The exhibition spans 80,000 square meters with 4,800 booths, showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as AI PCs, edge computing, gaming products, semiconductor applications and green technology. It is expected to attract over 80,000 visitors from around the world.

COMPUTEX Keynotes: Industry giants discuss the future of technology

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang kicked off COMPUTEX on May 19, giving the exhibition’s first keynote at 11am. The second keynote, given by Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, followed that afternoon. Hon Hai (Foxconn) Chairman Young Liu, MediaTek CEO Dr. Rick Tsai and NXP Executive Vice President Jens Hinrichsen are also giving keynotes, sharing their respective companies latest AI-related developments.

This year, the world-famous research organization Gartner is hosting a unique forum at the exhibition. Focusing on future AI development, the US firm’s Chief of Research Bill Ray analyzes the applications of AI in infrastructure, edge computing and smart automation, providing enterprises with strategic and forward-looking insights.

The day before the forum opened, Arm held a special COMPUTEX event at the Grand Hilai Taipei. Chris Bergey, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Client Line of Business at Arm, delivered a talk titled “From Cloud to Edge: Advancing AI on Arm, Together,” exploring how Arm works with global partners to promote practical AI applications.

COMPUTEX Forum explores cutting-edge AI technology

The 2025 COMPUTEX Forum, AI in Action, is taking place on May 21, focusing on three major topics: robotics and edge AI applications, generative AI and datacenter solutions. High-level executives from top international companies including NVIDIA, Google DeepMind, Intel, Adobe and Schneider Electric are presenting and leading in-depth discussions about AI-related breakthroughs in edge computing and robotics, automated decision-making and smart manufacturing. The forum highlights sustainability as it dives into AI data centers and energy-saving solutions for cooling and computing. Experts share the latest technological practices, offering a comprehensive analysis of industry trends and strategic recommendations.

New exhibit areas focus on industry needs and applications

This year’s COMPUTEX includes 14 technology-related exhibit areas, including two new areas that integrate the theme “AI Next.” Intel and Micro-Star International lead the new AI service technology zone, where multiple tech companies exhibit their latest AI software solutions and applications. The new robotics and drones zone introduces smart solutions for logistics, manufacturing, agriculture and public safety.

Under the theme “Ubiquitous AI. Incredible Possibilities,” the tech giant ASUS is presenting comprehensive AI applications and gaming solutions to demonstrate the development of AI in infrastructure, platforms and edge devices. Biostar, known for its industrial computers and edge AI, is showcasing industrial-grade edge AI platforms and EdgeComp industrial computer systems, as well as new generation motherboards, graphics cards, solid-state drives and DDR memory modules.

More domestic and international industry giants such as Foxconn, Samsung, and Gigabyte have their own booths this year. Reflecting its important position in the global technology industry, COMPUTEX exhibits the latest technologies and products, opening up more market opportunities for the future.

Ministry of Economic Affairs provides a full range of services for COMPUTEX

The Ministry of Economic Affairs’ International Trade Administration set up a Taiwan Select exhibit area at this year’s COMPUTEX, showcasing products that won Taiwan Excellence Awards. The area provides international buyers with a uniquely Taiwanese experience, introducing local Taiwanese snacks and cultural characteristics.

The ministry’s Administration of Commerce is providing a free shuttle bus service for those with a COMPUTEX exhibitors’ pass. The bus goes to Xinyi District and SOGO shopping areas in eastern Taipei, giving visitors the chance to explore the city and check out special deals from local businesses.

Cooperating with local businesses to create a diverse exhibition experience

Last year, COMPUTEX cooperated with Kuai Kuai and Plain-me to launch pop-up stores for local products. Since this was very well-received, COMPUTEX is taking it a step further this year by introducing a limited edition Kuai Kuai snack at the COMPUTEX Pop-up Store. The store offers a series of apparel, accessories and souvenirs inspired by the exhibition.

To further improve the experience for exhibitors and buyers, the organizers have integrated resources to host a variety of activities. These include procurement meetings, themed tours, the ESG Go sustainability initiative, start-up pitch competitions and more. In addition, international media and tech influencers have been invited to Taiwan to experience the exhibition firsthand.

COMPUTEX 2025 showcases Taiwan’s outstanding research and development capabilities. It connects leading international companies, global tech players, startup teams and professional buyers to create new opportunities in the world of technology.
