This year’s COMPUTEX Forum, with the theme of “Pervasive Intelligence” and three sessions “Disruptive Trends,” “AI,” and “AIoT (AI+IoT),” will be held from May 28th to 29th at the Taipei International Conference Center (TICC). Industry leaders from around the world are invited to the Forum to explore future development trends of advanced technologies including quantum computing, blockchain applications, immersive experiences, digital twins, autonomous cars, AI, and AIoT. The forum aims to inspire participants and companies alike in devising future strategies to fulfill the vision for smarter and more convenient lifestyles.
- May 28th, Disruptive Trends Session – Peering into Futuristic Technologies
The first session will focus on how disruptive technologies reshape company operations as well as our lifestyle. Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has invited tech giants such as IBM, Qualcomm, AWS, SAP, and Qorvo to participate in this session. Qorvo, a first time participant to the Forum, is a leader in RF communications and WiFi technologies. Wi-Fi pioneer Cees Links will unveil how Wi-Fi 6 improves data rates, capacity, and coverage to shape the development of IoT. Other guest speakers will also dissect emerging technologies in terms of their current development status, actual applications, and future potentials. To extend the discussion, corporate strategic planning to accelerate the development of new and innovative products and services will also be highlighted.
- May 29th, AI Session – Creating an Intelligent Future Together
AI technology, with enormous business value and great diversity of applications, is rapidly changing operations in every industry and creating brand new market opportunities. Technology giants such as Arm, NVIDIA, Siemens, Micron, Alibaba Cloud, and Google will convene at the Forum to share various applications of AI in every field, hoping to inspire a greater vision of the intelligent future. Marc Hamilton, NVIDIA’s VP of Solutions Architecture and Engineering, will talk about how imaging software enhances the interpretation of medical images, which significantly contributes to faster and more accurate recommendations for diagnosis. Erdal Elver, President and CEO of Siemens Taiwan, will share ways to provide AI solutions for every industry to optimize industrial performance and accelerate the digital transformation of Taiwanese companies. Thomas T. Eby, Micron’s Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Compute & Networking Business Unit, will explore the use of memory and storage devices to enhance AI performance in his talk during the Forum.
- May 29th, AIoT Session – Establishing AIoT
AIoT is an advanced application that integrates two major technologies, AI and IoT. AIoT will drive innovative development in fields such as semiconductor, smart transportation, smart healthcare, and smart city. Industry leaders, including Intel, Trend Micro, NXP, Advantech, and SUPERMICRO, will dissect trends in industrial applications to help create customized, high-performance solutions that boost industry growth. Intel’s VP of Internet of Things Group and GM of Retail, Banking, Hospitality & Education, Joe Jensen, will explain how leveraging technologies such as AI and computer vision can maximize the value of data and encourage business expansion. Trend Micro’s Vice President of Threat and Vulnerability, Mike Gibson, will discuss vulnerability management in a connected world. Advantech’s head of iHealthcare sector Frank Huang will explore changes in health institutions by analyzing how AIoT improves patient satisfaction and productivity in healthcare.
